After nearly half a decade of collaborative research, innovation, and on-the-ground green transformations across European cities, we are delighted to conclude the JUSTNature project with its Final Conference on 10-11 February 2026 in Brussels (and Leuven).

This event marks the culmination of our work advancing equitable Nature-based Solutions in urban environments, from meaningful stakeholder engagement to inclusive approaches that support fair access to ecological spaces for all. Through interactive sessions and panel discussions with invited speakers, we will share key insights, lessons learned, and practical experiences from the project.

The conference will conclude with a guided site visit in Leuven, offering participants the opportunity to experience JUSTNature interventions firsthand and engage directly with local practices.

February 10th – Atelier 29 (Brussels)

A full day of talks, interactive workshops, and discussions grounded in real-world experiences of implementing Nature-based Solutions. Drawing on insights from local practitioners and experts in sustainable architecture, the conference will explore how urban change can be shaped with social justice and co-governance at its core.

February 11th – Martelarenplein (Leuven)

09:30 – 12:00

Guided field visits in Leuven, on foot and by bike. Participants may choose from five different tour options within Leuven’s City Practice Lab, led by local experts. These visits will highlight operational challenges, community engagement approaches, and the enabling conditions for replication and scaling within EU policy frameworks.
